Version 1.1: what changes and when
In short
We are adding the Global Market. If you already had an account, this version applies to you from 31 October 2026; if you do not agree, you can delete your account before then.
We published this version on 15 October 2026. If you create your account on or after that day, it applies from the moment you accept it when signing up. If you already had an account, we are giving you 15 days’ notice: it applies to you from 31 October 2026 and, until then, version 1.0 still governs. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before that date from My account; if you keep using it afterwards, this version will apply. You can accept it earlier from “My account”, and to use the Global Market from the website before that date you will need to accept it.
Version 1.0 differs from this one in only three points:
- it did not have the Global Market section, which is new;
- Who we are and what these terms cover did not mention the Global Market;
- Deletion, suspension and closure did not say that, when you delete your account, we unlink your game account.
Who we are and what these terms cover
In short
These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use the website and your pilot account.
colonized.work is the official COLONIZED website, run by Guillermo Fernández Cadarso («vanguille») (“we” or “us”). Our full details are in the Legal notice.
These terms govern the use of the website and the pilot account, including the closed alpha waiting list and its referral programme, and the use of the Global Market from the website. If you take part in the alpha, the Closed alpha terms also apply. How we process your data is explained in the Privacy policy.
By creating your account you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not create an account; you can still browse the website.
Requirements to create an account
In short
Be at least 16, have your own Discord account and create only one pilot account.
To create a pilot account you must:
- be 16 or over;
- have your own Discord account, which you use to sign up and log in, and comply with Discord’s terms;
- create only one pilot account per person.
Creating an account is free and does not commit you to buying anything.
When you sign up with Discord, Discord will ask for your permission to share some of your account data with us and, if you tick the corresponding box, also to add you to the COLONIZED Discord server. What data we receive and what we do with it is explained in the Privacy policy.
Your account and your callsign
In short
Protect your Discord account: it is the key to your pilot account. Your callsign must be respectful and must not impersonate anyone.
Your pilot account is linked to your Discord account: anyone who gets into your Discord will be able to access it. You are responsible for protecting your Discord account (we recommend turning on two-step verification there) and for what is done with your pilot account. If you think someone has accessed it, write to us as soon as possible at admin at colonized.work.
Your callsign is your pilot name on the website. It must be 3 to 20 characters long (letters, numbers, hyphen and underscore) and must not:
- be offensive, discriminatory, sexual, violent or hateful;
- impersonate another person, members of our team or a brand;
- infringe third-party rights, such as trademarks or registered names;
- contain other people’s personal data, links or advertising.
When you choose it, we automatically check that it is not taken or reserved and does not contain insults. Once chosen, you cannot change it from your account; if you need to, write to us. Reserving a callsign does not give you any ownership of it. If it breaks these rules, we may change it and will let you know. We also do not guarantee that you will be able to use the same name in the game.
Waiting list and referrals
In short
You move up 10 places for each friend who completes their application. Cheating cancels the advantage.
When you send your alpha application you join a waiting list. Your position is based on order of arrival and moves up 10 places for each pilot who signs up with your invitation link and completes their application. If a pilot you invited deletes their account, you lose that advantage.
Your position is indicative: it does not guarantee a place in the alpha or an access date. We select participants in waves, as explained in the Closed alpha terms.
Manipulating the list is not allowed: creating fake or duplicate accounts, inviting yourself, using automated programs, buying or selling referrals, or sending your link in bulk without the recipients’ permission (spam). If we detect manipulation, we may cancel the referrals involved, adjust your position or suspend the accounts concerned.
We may change or end the referral programme. Changes will apply from the moment we announce them and will not take away places you have already earned legitimately.
Global Market
In short
A market between players using the game’s credits, with no real money. What you sign with your passkey is final and is charged and delivered by the bank of the game, which has the final say. Selling credits, items or accounts for real money is forbidden.
What it is. The Global Market is the game’s player-to-player market: some players put goods and items up for sale and others buy them, with the game’s credits. From the website you can browse it and trade with your game account in whatever is available at each moment (today, buying, selling, listing items and cancelling). We do not buy or sell in it: we only run the system that matches buyers and sellers.
No real money. The game’s credits, goods and items are part of the game: they are not money, have no value outside the game, cannot be exchanged for money or for anything outside the game, and are not your property beyond the use the game and these terms allow. Credits cannot be bought with real money on the website. Buying, selling or trading the game’s credits, goods, items, accounts or services for real money (or other goods or services outside the game) is forbidden, as is advertising or brokering it.
Linking your game account. To trade from the website you link your game account to your pilot account, with a one-time code the game gives you. You may only link a game account that is yours, and each pilot account can have only one linked game account, and vice versa. While they are linked, you can trade with that game account’s credits and storage from the website, but only with the passkeys you authorise with a code from the game: every operation is signed by one of them and checked by the bank of the game. Protect your devices and revoke at once, from the website or from the game, any passkey you do not recognise. For your safety, after linking, after authorising a device and after a sensitive change to your pilot account, the website does not move value for 72 hours (you can still browse and cancel), and new game accounts have limits on what they can move and sell from the website. You can unlink it at any time from My account; to link it again you will need a new code from the game. If you delete your pilot account, we unlink it.
Operations. Before you sign an operation we show you what it involves: the price, the allowed price band, the quantity, the hub, the fees, the tax, the freight and, if you sell, what you will receive, calculated by the bank of the game. Once you sign it, the operation is final: it cannot be undone or refunded, except that you can cancel an order or a listing while it has not been filled (the listing fee is not refunded). In an order, whatever is not filled at once waits in the market until it is filled, you cancel it or its term ends: in a buy order, the unused part of the freight reserve goes back to your balance; in a sell order, the units that are not sold go back to your storage. If an operation cannot go through (for example, because you do not have enough credits or stock, or the listing has already been sold), nothing is charged.
Deliveries. What you buy arrives in your storage at the hub you chose; if it comes from another hub, it travels there with its delay. You collect it in the game: depositing and withdrawing items only happens inside the game, at a hub terminal.
Fees, freight and taxes. Creating an order has a listing fee that depends on the hub (it is not refunded); transport between hubs has a freight cost based on distance and volume, and the seller pays a sale tax. These are game rules: we publish them and they may change to keep the game’s economy balanced, but you always see the amount before you sign.
The bank of the game has the final say. The bank of the game is the record that counts for credits, goods, items, orders and deliveries. If the website shows something different (because of a delay or an error), what the bank says prevails. If an operation was made because of an obvious system error or by exploiting a bug, we may correct or reverse it.
Abuse. We may pause or limit operations, hold the proceeds of a sale, reverse operations and suspend access to the market or to the game account if we detect real-money trading, fraud, account theft, credit laundering (for example, moving credits between accounts at abnormal prices), using several accounts for that, automation or the exploitation of bugs. Except in serious or urgent cases, we will let you know and explain why, and you can reply by writing to us.
Availability. The market may be paused for maintenance or security. While it is paused, your credits and items are not lost: they stay in the game.
Acceptable use

When using the website you agree not to:
- use it for unlawful purposes or in ways that harm other people;
- try to access other people’s accounts, systems or data without permission, or test their security without our authorisation;
- overload or attack the service, or get around its limits and protections;
- create accounts or submit forms automatically;

Website content and intellectual property
In short
Everything you see here belongs to us or to our licensors. You can share links and quote, but not reuse it commercially without permission.
The texts, the universe and its lore, renders, images, videos, logos, the COLONIZED brand, the design and the code of the website belong to us or to third parties who have licensed them to us. Using the website does not transfer any rights in them to you.
You may view them for personal use, share links and quote short excerpts with attribution. Press kit materials may be used to report on the game. Any other use, especially commercial use, requires our prior written permission.
Information about the game
In short
COLONIZED is in development: what we show may change. Nothing on the website is an offer to sell.
COLONIZED is a game in development. The features, figures, ships, renders, dates and plans we show describe the project as it stands and may change, be delayed or not make it into the final game. Renders are labelled as such.
The website does not sell anything. Neither creating an account nor applying for the alpha entitles you to receive the game, a particular price or a particular release date.
Third-party links and services
In short
Steam, Discord and other platforms have their own rules.
The website links to third-party services such as Steam (Valve Corporation) or Discord. If you use them, their own terms and privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for them.
Communications
In short
We will write to you about your account and application. News, only if you ask for it.
We may email you about matters necessary for the service: your alpha application, an invitation, security notices or changes to these terms. These messages are not advertising and are part of the service.
We will only send you game news if you have expressly agreed to it when signing up or later. You can withdraw that permission at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to us.
Deletion, suspension and closure
In short
You can delete your account whenever you like. If you break these terms, we may suspend it.
You can delete your account at any time from My account. Deletion is immediate and permanent and includes your alpha application. If your game account was linked, we unlink it; the game account and what is in it are not deleted.
We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it or if it is necessary to protect other users or the service. Except in serious or urgent cases, we will warn you first and explain why, and you can respond by writing to us.
We may also close the account service or the website, for example when testing phases end or if the project changes. In that case we will give you reasonable notice and delete your data in accordance with the Privacy policy.
Liability
In short
We do our best to keep everything working, but the service is free and provided as is. Your consumer rights are not affected.
The website and the pilot account are free and provided as they are. We try to keep them available and secure, but we cannot guarantee that they will work without interruptions or errors.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage that is not attributable to us, or for damage caused by misuse of the website, by third parties or by causes beyond our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or any consumer rights that cannot be excluded by contract.
Reporting unlawful content
In short
If you see something unlawful on the website, let us know.
If you find any content on the website that you believe is unlawful or contrary to these terms (for example, an offensive callsign), let us know at admin at colonized.work, stating where it is, why you believe so, your name and email address, and a statement that the information is accurate and given in good faith. We will review it diligently and tell you our decision. If we remove content or restrict an account, we will explain why to the person affected, who can respond by writing to us.
Changes to these terms
In short
If we change them significantly, we will give you 15 days’ notice.
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the service or the law. If the changes are significant, we will let you know by email or with a visible notice on the website at least 15 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before that date. If you keep using it afterwards, the new terms will apply.
Governing law and courts
In short
Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you can bring claims before the courts where you live.
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence, and any claim may be brought before the courts of your place of residence.
Before going to court, we would appreciate it if you wrote to us: we will try to resolve it amicably.
We publish these terms in several languages. In case of any discrepancy between versions, the Spanish version prevails.
