Like EVE Online? What COLONIZED offers you

If you want a persistent universe where allegiances matter, your choices stay with you and players build what lasts, this is what COLONIZED has today and, just as clearly, what it does not have yet: the economy and faction warfare are designed, not built.

L’essentiel

  • COLONIZED is a space survival MMORPG for PC in development, on persistent dedicated servers; applications for its closed alpha are open and the first wave is planned for winter 2026-2027.
  • In the current build your faction, the Zenith or the Nadir, is permanent, and five neutral guilds measure your reputation with cross effects between them.
  • Players form colonies with shared bases, beds and respawn, and crafting has ninety recipes.
  • A player economy, trading and faction warfare are designed but not built, and none of them is promised for the alpha.

If what keeps you in a space MMO is a persistent universe where allegiances matter, where your choices stay with you and what players build lasts, COLONIZED shares that ambition and is honest about where it stands: the foundations exist, and the economy and the wars that usually grow on top of them are still on paper. COLONIZED is a space survival MMORPG for PC in Unreal Engine 5, in development, with applications open for a closed alpha whose first wave is planned for winter 2026-2027.

Each point below says whether it is done (in the main build), in development (code that is not finished or not merged) or designed (on paper).

A war that has not restarted, yet

The Aurin system has a history that is built to be fought over. Forty-six years ago one colony fleet broke in two over a single question; the war ended with an armistice that demilitarised one planet and placed each faction’s station at a symmetric point of its orbit. In Year 47 E.A., the present of the game, that cold peace is cracking and both sides are recruiting. The canon is in the Zenith and the Nadir and in the fall of the Arca Aurora.

Reputation as a system

The five Global Guilds, The Pioneers, Apex Syndicate, The Forge, The Vanguard and The Pathfinders, each run a ladder from Paria to Leyenda, from −1,000 to 15,001 points and above. Trust does not transfer between them, and some of them cost each other: every hectare of greenhouse is ground The Forge cannot mine. That system is in the current build, and it is the first piece of the politics the game is designed around. The detail is in the five Global Guilds.

What COLONIZED does not have yet

  • A player economy, markets and trading: designed, not built.
  • Faction warfare, sieges and conquest: designed and not promised.
  • Ship flight and space combat in the main build: in development.
  • Players per server, server regions, a release date or a price: none announced.

We list these first because a persistent MMO lives or dies on them, and we would rather you knew now.

How to get in

Apply for the closed alpha: it is free, keys go out in waves, and each friend who completes an application moves you ten places up the list. Follow the work as it happens on the roadmap and on our Discord.
