Dossier

The purest line in the house.

The fighter that defines the XASTER family: 11.5 m of hull, a wide cranked delta, a slide-back canopy and two S2 guns under the wings.

Dossier

The S is the fighter that defines the family: 11.50 m of hull, a wide cranked delta and nothing else.

The nose sharpens into a radome tip and lets the chine run down the flank until it melts into the leading edge. Above it sits a low, raked wedge canopy whose hood slides 1.10 m aft on its rails. The shoulders rise beside the windscreen, sweep back and land on the wing.

You walk to the cockpit: an eight-step ladder unfolds from the port shoulder bay, a non-slip walkway crosses the wing and a grab handle waits at the sill. Inside, the horseshoe dashboard wraps the pilot in conformal screens.

Twin engines in the tail, an armoured spine between them and two S2 guns under the wings. On the ground, the outer wing folds 105 degrees and the span drops from 9.92 m to 7.62 m.

House and pattern

The S is the oldest drawing in the XASTER pattern: the M is the S with a two-metre module added, and the L and the XL grow from the M. It is not a new combat hull but a pattern older than the war, one the MMU (Matriz de Manufactura Unificada) already knew how to build. William's homologates every S that leaves the Matrix against that same drawing, line for line.

Strengths

  • The line's pure fighter: low canopy, wide delta and twin engines.
  • Walk-on boarding: deployable eight-step ladder, wing walkway and slide-back canopy.
  • Two S2 guns: standard fit of two Lanza laser repeaters; any S2 weapon from the standard catalogue fits the same mounts.
  • Missiles: four S1 missiles per salvo, sixteen in reserve.
  • Precise near the ground: VTOL fans and flush RCS ports.
  • Folds to 7.62 m for compact parking.

Role in the fleet

The S is a line fighter, something no Tortuga can be. It is faster and better armed than the Tortuga “Espolón”, which is still a light-assault Tortuga, and around an Aura-class corvette it would be the fighter screen.

Within the family

Almost twice the length of the X (12.48 m against 7.14 m overall) and three times its mass (15.0 t against 5.0 t), the S trades four S1 guns for two heavier S2s and introduces the slide-back canopy and the walk-on wing. The M takes this exact fighter, adds a two-metre module and makes it a ship you can live in.

Closed alpha

The hangar is open.

The first closed alpha wave lands in winter 2026-2027 and applications are open now. Apply for your key: the pilots who get in help shape what comes next.

The ships in this hangar are still in development. What each alpha wave includes will be announced in the alpha notes.
