- Dossiê 001Visão geralThe universe of COLONIZED for newcomers · a 5-minute readStart here: the universe in 5 minutesA human fleet fled its galaxy when its star began to die, and reached the Aurin system. There it split into two sides that now live in a tense peace, with five neutral Guilds in between. This guide tells the story in five minutes and points you to what to read next.
- Dossiê 002Visão geralEvery proper name in the universe · one line eachGlossaryEvery proper name in the COLONIZED universe, explained in a single line. Terms are grouped by theme and listed alphabetically within each theme. If a term has its own Codex entry, its name takes you there.
- Dossiê 003Visão geralParhelion galaxy · Aurin system · Year 47 E.A.The universe of COLONIZEDCOLONIZED takes place in Aurin, a star system with four habitable planets. A fleet fleeing its dying galaxy arrived there, and a year later it split into two hostile sides: the Zenith and the Nadir. Today a tense peace keeps them apart, and between them stand the five Guilds, which belong to neither side.

- Dossiê 004HistóriaFrom the collapse of Solmera to Year 47 E.A.Settlement chronologyThe history of Aurin’s settlers, year by year, in their own calendar, which counts from the year their fleet reached the system. It runs from the galaxy they left to the war that split them into two sides, the truce of Year 12 and the present, Year 47.
- Dossiê 006HistóriaThe megafleet that crossed the intergalactic voidExpedición Aura and Flota AuraThe Flota Aura was the great fleet in which the civilisation of Solmera fled its dying galaxy. After centuries of travel it reached the Aurin system, and a year later it split into two hostile sides. The shared technology and the machines the settlers still use all come from it.
- Dossiê 007HistóriaThe first catalogue of Aurin, Year 0 E.A.Registro AuraThe Registro Aura is the first catalogue of the Aurin system. The settlers’ fleet drew it up by telescope on arrival, before anyone had landed, and several of its guesses proved wrong. The ending of each planet’s or moon’s name still tells you what the Registro thought of it.

- Dossiê 044EventoThe civil war that split the Flota AuraThe war of Year 1The war of Year 1 was the civil war that split the settlers’ fleet in two, a year after it reached the Aurin system. It lasted twelve years, brought the Arca Aurora down on the planet Ithera and ended with no victor. It gave birth to the two rival factions, the Zenith and the Nadir.
- Dossiê 045EventoThe ark that fell on Ithera · Year 1 E.A.Arca AuroraThe Arca Aurora was a great transport ship of the Flota Aura, the fleet that brought the settlers. In Year 1, during the war between the two factions, it took fire from both sides and came down on the planet Ithera. No one knows who fired the decisive shot; the five Guilds were born from its survivors.
- Dossiê 047EventoYear 12 E.A. · the treaty that holds up the cold peaceArmisticio de ItheraThe Armisticio de Ithera is the Year 12 treaty that ended, with no victor, the war between the two factions of the Aurin system. It left the planet Ithera free of armies, under the five neutral Guilds, and set both sides’ stations equally far from it. Ever since, a tense truce has held: the cold peace.

- Dossiê 005Galáxia e estrelaThe galaxy of origin · “la Vieja Solmera”SolmeraSolmera is the galaxy the settlers of Aurin come from. Its star was dying and its people fled in a great fleet, so all that is left of it is memories, a few relics and the name of the currency. Today’s two sides, the Zenith and the Nadir, draw opposite lessons from its end.
- Dossiê 009Galáxia e estrelaThe galaxy of the phantom sunParhelionParhelion is the galaxy where the settlers’ voyage came to an end. Its name comes from the parhelion, a phantom sun that appears beside the real one, and each of today’s two sides believes it is the true light. Within it, Aurin is the only habitable system the fleet could reach.
- Dossiê 010Galáxia e estrelaWhite-gold G1V dwarf · centre of the systemAurin, the starAurin is the star of the system where the settlers live: a yellow-white dwarf, mature and stable. The fleet that brought them chose it precisely for being predictable, though its flares, bursts of light and radiation, sometimes blind the sensors of the nearby planets. It gives its name to the whole system.

- Dossiê 011PlanetaPlanet I · the white world of the interiorOrmekOrmek is the planet closest to Aurin, the system’s star. From afar it looks like a blinding white disc, but beneath its clouds there is breathable air, savannah and water. It is held by the Zenith, one of the two factions, who take energy and metal from it.
- Dossiê 012PlanetaPlanet II · the quarry that never sleepsKharsisKharsis is the second planet of the Aurin system: a desert of canyons, dunes and oases, with thin but breathable air. It is the great quarry of the Zenith, one of the two factions, who work it hard. The other faction, the Nadir, holds out here on the defensive.
- Dossiê 013PlanetaPlanet III · demilitarised zone · under the guardianship of the GuildsItheraIthera is the temperate planet of the Aurin system: breathable air, oceans and the richest native life of its four worlds. Since Year 12 no army may operate there, and it is run by the five Guilds, which belong to neither side. New recruits take their first steps here.
- Dossiê 014PlanetaPlanet IV · the front that never closesKaldrekKaldrek is the planet furthest from Aurin, the system’s star. Up high it has glaciers; down below, warm and fertile valleys, all under an amber sky. No faction controls it: it is the front where the Zenith and the Nadir, the system’s two sides, fight over the ground metre by metre.

- Dossiê 015SatéliteMoon of Ithera · sea and islands · the moon that may or may not be orbitMelvaraMelvara is the large moon of Ithera, the temperate planet, and the only moon where people can breathe without a suit. The peace treaty bans arming Ithera’s orbit, and no one can agree whether Melvara counts as orbit. So both sides keep only ‘civilian’ posts there, with an inspection station of the neutral Guilds in between.
- Dossiê 016SatéliteMoon of Ithera · Puerto Aurora · sanctuary by customTiraneTirane is the middle moon of Ithera, a rocky moon with almost no air. Puerto Aurora waits there: an eight-dock port built for the Arca Aurora, a great ship that crashed on Ithera during the war and never arrived. No treaty protects it, but both sides respect it as a sanctuary: nobody fights, builds or mines there.
- Dossiê 017SatéliteMoon of Ithera · canyon desert · La Cicatriz GemelaSelvaneSelvane is the smallest and furthest moon of Ithera: a red canyon desert under a black sky, with almost no air. Ithera always hangs at the same point in its sky. It had water when it was young and lost it, and its cities are sealed, pressurised bases.
- Dossiê 018SatéliteMoon of Kharsis · the chimney · Fundición AltaKravaneKravane is the largest moon of Kharsis, the system’s mining planet: dry rock with almost no air. It holds the Zenith’s Fundición Alta, which smelts in vacuum the ore fired up to it from the planet. It is the most efficient plant humanity has built in this galaxy, and also the ugliest.
- Dossiê 019SatéliteMoon of Kharsis · tidally locked · the face that does not lookKharunKharun is a small moon of Kharsis, the mining planet, made of dry rock with almost no air. It always shows the planet the same face. Its far face is the only spot in the inner system from which Kharsis can never be seen, and that is why smuggling hides there.
- Dossiê 020SatéliteMoon of Kharsis · la Errante · thin CO₂ airErranErran, la Errante, is a moon of Kharsis, the mining planet. It is the only moon with thin air: almost all carbon dioxide, and not breathable. It does not keep time with the other moons, it has the most violent seasons in the system, and the Nadir keep a listening post there.
- Dossiê 021SatéliteMoon of Kaldrek · tidally locked · made of a dead moonRenvarRenvar is a small moon of Kaldrek, the cold planet of the Aurin system. It is made from the remains of Mornane, a moon that broke apart millions of years ago, and scrap from the war of Year 1 lies under its ice. It is the only deposit where clean water and usable pre-war salvage come out side by side.
- Dossiê 022SatéliteMoon of Kaldrek · the one that was always thereOrdrekOrdrek is the ancient moon of Kaldrek, the cold planet of the Aurin system. Millions of years ago its pull helped break apart another moon, Mornane, and today it keeps the planet’s interior warm. Every twelve hours it lines up with Renvar, the other moon, and both factions use that meeting as a clock.
- Dossiê 023SatéliteMoon of Ormek · tidally locked · the anvilPyraPyra is a small, airless moon of Ormek, the planet closest to the star of the Aurin system. It is the Zenith’s forge and shipyard, where the metal sent up from Ormek is worked. Ormek always hangs in the same spot in its sky, so shadows do not move for the whole working day.
- Dossiê 024SatéliteMoon of Ormek · the moon of ashes · Nadir concessionCineraCinera is the black moon of Ormek, the planet closest to the star of the Aurin system. The Nadir bought its concession for next to nothing in Year 29, because the Zenith had no interest in it. Today its post, El Tizón, is the best place in the inner system to listen in on the Zenith and spy on them.
- Dossiê 025SatéliteCaptured asteroid of Kharsis · the only ground in vacuumAshkarAshkar is a 45 km asteroid that the planet Kharsis caught in its orbit. It has no air: it is the only ground in the Aurin system that lies in open vacuum. In its orbit sits the Ancladero, a refuelling and cargo port that both factions fight over.

It is what is left of the battles of the war of Year 1. It holds pre-war technology that no one today knows how to make, and since it belongs to no one, everyone fights over it.
- Dossiê 027CinturãoThe corpse of Mornane, la PerdidaAnillos de KaldrekThe Anillos de Kaldrek are the remains of Mornane, a moon of the planet Kaldrek that died millions of years ago. They were there before the settlers, but the war of Year 1 left scrap on top, and for decades people took them for war debris. Today they yield ice, heavy ore and the pure crystal that engines demand.
- Dossiê 028CinturãoThe edge of the charted system · Baliza ConfínThe outer ice beltThe outer ice belt is a scattered, unnamed band of ice that circles the star Aurin beyond the last planet. - Dossiê 033EstaçãoMidpoint between the two stations · the Guilds’ customs postEl FulcroEl Fulcro is the point in space exactly halfway between the stations of the two sides, the Zenith and the Nadir. It belongs to no one: the five Guilds, which take no side, keep their customs post there and run the system’s shared market from it. It is known as the only place where the two factions mix without tension.
- Dossiê 034EstaçãoAdministrative ship of the Flota Aura · Núcleo de RegistroArca Custodia and CUSTODIAThe Arca Custodia is an old administrative ship from the fleet that brought the settlers, anchored at a neutral point between the two sides. Its intelligence, CUSTODIA, registers every newcomer and is the only voice in the system that takes no side. This is where each new recruit chooses a house: the Zenith or the Nadir.

- Dossiê 046LocalIthera · impact zone of the Arca Aurora · capital of the GuildsLa CicatrizLa Cicatriz is the furrow the Arca Aurora, a great settler ship, tore open when it crashed on the planet Ithera in Year 1. It explains which ones attack, where each lives and what you get from them.
- Dossiê 056FaunaIthera fauna · giant territorial predatorOmbraskThe Ombrask is a giant predator from the planet Ithera: about six metres long, solitary and territorial. It is the largest animal the settlers have found. It hunts the southern canyons, and the biggest live at the centre of La Cicatriz, where one of the settlers’ great ships crashed.
- Dossiê 057FaunaIthera fauna · armoured herd grazerRolvakThe Rolvak is an armoured grazer from the planet Ithera, the small, numerous variant of the great Ombrask. About two and a half metres long, it lives in herds and eats for most of the day. It won’t attack unless you do, but once hurt it rams, bites and rolls faster than a person can run.
- Dossiê 058FaunaIthera fauna · armoured ball of the wetlandsLumbroThe Lumbro is an armoured animal from the wetlands of the planet Ithera: a grey ball the size of a large dog that lives in herds and never attacks. It yields a gland used in high-level medicine, which forces a choice about hunting a defenceless animal.
- Dossiê 059FaunaMechanical fauna · cores nobody came back forThe sentinelsA sentinel is a flying machine from the fleet that brought the settlers: one of its small machine minds that nobody rescued after the war.
